Soft Tissue Mobilization

About tissue injury

Fibrous tissue and scar tissue forms at injury site, this process starts a few days after the injury and continues to progress.  This sets up an environment for developing muscle knots or trigger points further complicating the injuries.

The scar tissue become restricted and blocked, it hinders the normal delivery of the blood, nutrition and energy flow.  It produces pain, decreased range of motion, decreases normal function and leads to a predisposition to injury in a same site.

What does Soft Tissue Mobilization help?

Soft Tissue Mobilization has been performed increasingly in recent years by manual therapy professionals due to its efficiency in treating various muscular injuries, especially in chronic condition.

The goals of Soft Tissue Mobilization are to break down the scar tissues, reduce the blockages and clear the pass way for blood, nutrition and energy delivery in order to improve range of motion, decrease pain and disperse inflammation.
