Myofascial Release

About Myofascial System

Myo refers to muscles, or muscular system.  Fascial refers to the covering sheath of muscles, organs, nerves, bones, etc.  Release means promoting body’s natural healing process.

Fascial is a system, it is an uninterrupted web of sheath, extends from head to toe throughout the body.  Fascial providing support, protection, shock absorbing, assists in nutritional and detoxification toward maintaining structural integrity.

What is Myofascial Release?

Myofascial Release is a gentle hands on technique, mainly to release the restrictions in fascial systems.

In the state of normal health, the fascial is relaxed.  Injuries, inflammatory responses, surgeries, poor posture, physical and emotional trauma can cause fascial fibers tighten, thicken or adhere.

The tension in the fascial puts abnormal pressure on muscles, bones, arteries, veins, organs, nerve system and lymph system. The result may cause a wide range of health problems.

Fascial restriction may set up the environment for poor cellular function, disease and pain that affect other body systems and dysfunction throughout the entire body.

Myofascial Release is a form of natural healing for your health; it has benefits in treating acute and chronic pain, neurological problems, organ dysfunctions, and emotional traumas.  The age ranges can benefit from new born to geriatric.
